We work directly with tribal communities in the district of Koraput, located on the southern tip of Odisha, one of the most underdeveloped states in India.

The population of Koraput is 1.1 million, 85% of which live in remote, rural areas. Koraput is the second poorest in over 500 districts of India. It is home to the most marginalized people in society; tribals make up over 50% of the population, and scheduled castes comprise close to 14%.
